Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara National Park is a small but incredibly diverse safari destination, perfect for a scenic and wildlife-rich experience.
Despite its size, Manyara offers an impressive range of animals. Youâll often spot large herds of elephants, hippos lounging in the lake, and a variety of monkeys in the lush groundwater forest. The park is also famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, a unique highlight not commonly seen elsewhere.
The alkaline lake attracts thousands of flamingos and over 400 bird species, making it one of Tanzaniaâs best birdwatching locations.
